FREE WILLS MONTH October is Free Wills Month!


Free Wills Month brings together a group of well-respected charities to offer members of the public aged 55 and over the opportunity to have their simple Wills written or updated free of charge by using participating solicitors in selected locations around England, Scotland and Wales.

DWP AWARENESS TRAINING

DWP AWARENESS TRAINING

On 7th September North Yorkshire Advocacy co-hosted a PIP & Universal Credit Awareness session with DWP, held at the Rural Arts Centre in Thirsk.

 

The training, provided by Ian Hammond from DWP, was not only open to all staff and volunteers from North Yorkshire Advocacy but also to community sector professionals from across the district and we were very pleased to have approx. 30 people attending.

DROP IN SERVICES IN JULY

Speak directly to Advocacy staff at our Drop in Sessions

North Yorkshire Advocacy service will be holding drop in sessions in following locations in June to enable members of the public to access our advice and support directly. 

  • Leyburn Medical Practice: Tuesday 5th July (9am to 12pm)
  • Leyburn Library: Tuesday 5th July (1:30pm to 3:30pm)
  • Easingwold Library: Thursday 21st July (1pm to 3pm)
