At present North Yorkshire Advocacy (NYA) are looking for the following Trustees to join our existing board members as we continue to move our organisation forward.

User Trustee

A previous service user of North Yorkshire Advocacy (or previously Hambleton and Richmondshire Advocacy, Craven Advocacy, Selby Advocacy or Harrogate and District Advocacy)

Treasurer

An experienced Trustee who will be responsible for the financial affairs of the organisation and they are legal, constitutional and within accepted accounting practice.

North Yorkshire Advocacy looks to strengthen team in Volunteers’ Week

From Wednesday 1st to Sunday 12th June 2016, organisations across the country will be taking part in Volunteers’ Week, the annual celebration that recognises the fantastic contribution volunteers make.  In the UK alone, 21 million people volunteer at least once a year.

At North Yorkshire Advocacy we are hoping this will be the catalyst that empowers even more people across the county to get out and help some of the most vulnerable members of our society.

Mental Health & Dementia Awareness Week

Today marks the beginning of two vitally important awareness campaigns, Mental Health Awareness Week and Dementia Awareness Week.

Working with vulnerable people from across the region we frequently come into contact with individuals where Mental Health, including Dementia, Alzheimer’s and Autism, is directly impacting their lives.
