North Yorkshire Advocacy is an independent, registered charity, which enables people to have their voices heard, defend and safeguard their rights, to empower people to express their views and concerns and explore the choices and options available to them.
Our advocates work with people across the whole of North Yorkshire. Listening to their views, assessing their needs and helping them to access the services they require until their issue is resolved, their rights are upheld and they feel more in control of their lives.
North Yorkshire Advocacy operates under the principles of the Advocacy Charter and the guidelines of the Advocacy Code of Practice:
- Person Centered Approach
- Clarity of Purpose
- Equality of Opportunity
